According to an article found at PCWorld found Here Apple Inc. is planning on releasing a marketing campaign on the same day as the expected Windows 7 release.
With pc sales in the states alone only growing 2.5 percent from September, and Mac sales growing 11.8 percent, I think it’s clear who has won over majority of the fans in this case. With PC users frustrated with Vista, the switch over to Windows 7 may not go as smoothly as people may think. With most of the PC population still using XP, the switch to windows 7 may be a long and tedious process.
Keeping all this in mind, with Apple’s snow leopard priced at 35$(30$ US), it’s in an extremely good position to do some serious damage to the PC market share. Also, with the introduction of a strong anti-Windows 7 marketing campaign, Apple could be in an ever better spot come the holiday season. Also, with some rumored hardware changes to come before Christmas or just after the new year, Apple is looking better than ever to gain some ground on the software giant Microsoft.

1. Do your homework – I can’t stress how important this is. There are plenty of websites out there dedicated to displaying the best websites for design on the net. Looking at different sites that are designed beautifully can help you out in designing yours the same way. Now I’m not saying to copy their sites directly or at all for that matter, but you should at least take into consideration the layout, graphic work and typography that went into creating that beautiful site.
2. Learn Photoshop – I can’t tell you how much of a difference this makes. Yes you can design a spectacular website in just CSS and HTML, but sometimes it’s just easier to do it as a picture in photoshop. This being said, doing up a photoshop mockup first can be extremely helpful to get the layout down before any coding actually starts getting done.
3. Keep up with up and coming trends in web design. Websites like http://www.webdesignerwall.com/ have entire sections dedicated to keeping up with up and coming web design trends. Using these trends can help your website get all that it deserves.
4. Javascript isn’t a language from the past, it’s a language of the future(at least for now) so embrace it in your websites. Fancy sliders, menu’s and picture effects add pizzazz to your site and will increase user traffic. Using frameworks like JQuery or Prototype can give your site the ‘pop’ it needs.
Cheers
